ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to provide adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner, his family members and his workmen for proceeding with the renovation work in the petitioner's house bearing D.No.143/15A, Madasami Kovil Street, Vadakku Pudur Village, Sankarankovil Taluk, Thenkasi District as and when required by the petitioner on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 02.10.2020.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is in possession of land in survey no.177/6 suituated at Vadakku Pudur Village, Sankarankovil Taluk, Thenkasi District and he constructed a house in the said land. When he intended to renovate the house, the third and fourth respondents herein abused the petitioner in filthy language and stopped the renovation work. Hence, the petitioner preferred a representation before the official respondents on 17.10.2020. Since no action has been taken till date, the petitioner filed the present petition seeking the aforesaid relief.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first and second respondents, on instructions, would submit that based on the complaint given by the petitioner, the second respondent initiated an enquiry in C.No.956/N'REF/SDO'S/2020, dated 31.10.2020 and the petitioner and the private respondents were called for the enquiry and during enquiry, the parties have given statement that they will seek their remedy before the Civil Court and hence, no further action is required and the private respondents also undertaken not to interfere with the petitioner's possession. Recording the same, enquiry had been closed.

4.Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this criminal original petition stands closed.
