ORDER

The petitioner has filed this petition seeking transfer of investigation in Cr.No.127 of 2025 on the file of the second respondent Police.

2.The petitioner's son committed suicide, for which a criminal case has been registered in Cr.No.127 of 2025 for the offence under Section 108 BNS. The petitioner claims that one Mr.P.Sundar, who is the Sub Inspector of Police attached to the second respondent Police Station, has stated that they are going to close the case. Therefore, with an apprehension that there may not be a proper investigation, the petitioner has filed this application seeking transfer of investigation. 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents submits that the petitioner's son committed suicide by consuming poison. The petitioner's son had grievance as against his father that he has sold away the agricultural land for lessor price. He further submits that postmortem report reveals that it is only a case of poisoning and they are conducting the investigation. 2/4

4.This Court has considered the submissions made on either side. 5.The petitioner is having some suspicion on the death of her son. The respondent Police shall furnish a copy of the postmortem report to the petitioner and the investigation shall be conducted in a fair manner. The Deputy Superintendent of Police, Kovilpatti Sub Division, Thoothukudi District is directed to monitor the investigation in Cr. No.127 of 2025. Accordingly, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
