O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for a direction, directing the respondent to give permission and protection for conducting Kabadi Tournament at NGO Colony Ground, Nagamalaipudukottai, Madurai District scheduled to be held on 18.03.2016 and 19.03.2016 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 07.03.2016.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondent.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that already a case in Crime No.30 of 2013 was registered in connection with the kabadi match that was held in the said village.

4. This Court is aware of the fact that the Election Commission of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ India has announced time table for elections to the State Assembly and

therefore, the Police will be under much strain. Under such circumstances, it will not be advisable to grant permission for such programmes, if there are going to be any law and order problem.

5. Without going into the merits of the case, the respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner taking into consideration the antecedents of the petitioner and his capacity to conduct the tournament and all other factors including communal and law and order factors and dispose the same on merits and in accordance with law, expeditiously, preferably on or before 18.03.2016. In the event of the authorities deciding to give permission, the same should be given during day time and it should include the conditions imposed by this Court in W.P.(MD) No.1474 of 2016 dated 22.01.2016.
