Petition filed under 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, to punish the Contemnor/ Respondent for his willful disobedience of the order of this Court in WMP(MD) No.8686 of 2025 in W.P.(MD) No. 11770 of 2025 dated 24.04.2025.

ORDER

The instant contempt petition has been filed alleging wilful disobedience of the order of this Court dated 24.04.2025 passed in WMP(MD) No.8686 of 2025 in W.P.(MD) No.11770 of 2025.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that as against the recovery order, this Court granted an order of interim stay in WMP(MD) No.8686 of 2025 in W.P.(MD) No.11770 of 2025. However, the respondents recovered the amount and hence, this contempt petition has been filed.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents 3 and 4 would submit that the amount which was recovered from the petitioner has only been withheld and not been recovered.

4. In view of the above submission made, it is clear that the amount is not recovered and is only withheld pending disposal of the writ petition and accordingly, no recovery was made as against the petitioner. Hence, there is no willful disobedience of the order of this Court and hence, this contempt petition stands closed.
