Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the first and second respondents to give adequate police protection for peaceful performance of 'Chitra Pournami Annathana Kodi Vizha' scheduled to be conducted from 15th April 2016 to 4th May 2016 and also Annathanam and 'Siruthondar Purana' Drama schedule to be conducted from 20th April 2016 to 21st April 2016 in front of Mahamariyamman Koil, Ammankudi, Thottiyam Taluk, Trichy District in the light of the order passed by the Commissioner of H.R.&C.E. Chennai dated 9th November 2004 in A.P.No.10/2004 on the basis of petitioner's representation dated 27th January 2016. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner seeks permission of this Court to withdraw this writ petition and he has also made an endorsement to that effect.
