PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for records impugned order passed by the respondent in RFL/Sanarpatti/50/2025 dated 10.06.2025 and quash the same and consequently to direct the respondent to register the document dated 10.06.2025 pertaining to property bearing S.F.No. 324/1, 324/2, 324/3, 324/4, 324/3C, 324/3E and 324/3F having an extent of 2 acres situate at Koovanuthu Village, Dindigul East Taluk, Dindigul District within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to quash the impugned order passed by the respondent 1/4

in dated 10.06.2025 and quash the same and consequently to direct the respondent to register the document dated 10.06.2025.

2. The contention of the petitioner is that his mother is the owner of the property. There were rival claims. Therefore, a suit in O.S. No. 187 of 2010 was filed before the Principal Munsif Court, Dindigul, and the same was decreed in favour of the petitioner. In fact, the said decree is also reflected in the Encumbrance Certificate. The petitioner is now seeking to register the deed. However, the respondent has refused to register the same, stating that there are multiple entries.

3. This Court has already held that the existence of multiple entries, contra entries, or double entries cannot be cited as a reason to refuse registration of a document. Moreover, the petitioner holds a decree in his favour.

4. Therefore, the impugned order dated 10.06.2025 is heeby quashed. The respondent is directed to register the document deed dated 10.06.2025 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.

5. With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
