PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 528 of BNSS Act, to direct the learned Special Court for the exclusive trial of SC and ST POA Act cases, Madurai, to accept the surrender of the petitioner and consider his bail application on the same day on merit relating to Cr.No.24 of 2026, dated 19.03.2026.

ORDER

The present petition has been filed by the accused persons in crime No.24 of 2026, on the file of the second respondent police seeking a direction as against the trial Court to accept the surrender and consider the bail application of the petitioners on the same day of surrender.

2. Considering the averments in the petition, there shall be a direction to the learned Special Court for the exclusive trial of SC and ST POA Act cases, Madurai, to accept the surrender and consider the bail application of the petitioners on the same day of surrender in crime No.24 of 2026, after giving due opportunity to the defacto complainant.

3. The petitioners shall surrender before the concerned Court on or before 02.07.2026.

4. With the above said observations, this Criminal Original Petition stands allowed.
