Prayer: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C., to direct the respondent Nos.2 & 3 to provide adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner for surveying his land in Survey No.42/4B1 with extent about 2 acres and 52 cents, which is situated at Mookkudi Village, Aranthangi Taluk, Pudukkottai District.

ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, seeking a direction to direct the respondent Nos.2 & 3 to provide adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner for surveying his land in Survey No.42/4B1 with extent about 2 acres and 52 cents, which is situated at Mookkudi Village, Aranthangi Taluk, Pudukkottai District.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has already submitted an application before the first respondent seeking for police protection for surveying his land in Suvey No.42/4B1 situated in Mookkudi Village, Aranthangi Taluk, Pudukkottai District. The first respondent vide his proceedings in Na.Ka.No.L.2/26836/2021, dated 05.10.2021, directed the 2nd respondent to provide police protection. But even after lapse of ten months, the second respondent has not provided any police protection. Hence, he filed this petition.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent police would also concede the order of the first respondent and provide police protection.

4.Recording the said submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), the second respondent is directed to give necessary police protection to the petitioner for surveying his land within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. 18.08.2022 Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes/ No vsd To 1.The Superintendent of Police, O/o the Superintendent of Police, Pudukkottai District.
