: Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the second respondent to grant permission to conduct the conference and Public Meeting to be held on 01.09.2019 at Palanganatham, near Jeyam Theatre, Madurai, at about 06.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m. against the New National Education Policy Draft-2019, without causing any disturbance to public.

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to grant permission to conduct the Public Meeting to be held on 01.09.2019 at Palanganatham, near Jeyam Theatre, Madurai, at about 06.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m. against the New National Education Policy Draft-2019.

2.The grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner's organization proposed to conduct a meeting on 01.09.2019 and for that, they filed an application before the second respondent on 04.08.2019. So far no order has been passed by the second respondent Police, hence, the present petition has been filed. 3.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the fact that the application is pending from https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/4

2 W.P.(MD)No.18477 of 2019 04.08.2019, without going into the merits of the case, the second respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's application dated 04.08.2019 and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law, on or before 30.08.2019. 4.The Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
