O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent by directing him to expedite the investigation of FIR in Crime No.12 of 2019 dated 19.07.2019 and to file a final report within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court. 2.The petitioner is the defacto complainant in Crime No.12 of 2019, which was registered for the offences punishable under Sections 419, 420, 465, 467, 468 & 471 IPC on 19.07.2019. The grievance of the petitioner is that even after a lapse of two years, there is no progress in the investigation.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that so far 5 witnesses have been examined. A1 and A2 are still absconding. Since the crime has been registered on the basis of documentary evidence, they have to be secured and the respondent police will file the final report within a short time.

Crl.O.P.(MD)No15121 of 2021 4.Considering the nature of allegation and the facts and circumstances of the case, there shall be a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation and file the final report within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. After filing the final report, the compliance report must be sent to the Registry.

5.With the above directions, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
