ORDER

This petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondent police to grant permission and accord protection for conducting the Kabadi Tournament scheduled on 14.07.2023 and 15.07.2023 in SS Toll Town Area, Devarayaneri Village, Tiruverambur Taluk, Trichy District, based on the representation of the petitioner dated 11.07.2023.

2.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) for the respondents submits that the respondent police are preparing to give protection for conducting of Kabadi Tournament by imposing certain conditions as per the guidelines issued vide proceedings in Rc.007301/Genl.(1)/2019 dated 09.04.2019. 3.Considering the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), this Court directs the respondent police to give sanction as required by the petitioner by incorporating the guidelines alleged to have been given by the 2/4

Tamil Nadu Director General of Police vide proceedings in Rc.007301/Genl. (1)/2019 dated 09.04.2019.

4.With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) is instructed to appraise the local police that since the tournaments are likely to start tomorrow, the request may be processed as expeditiously as possible. No costs.
