P RAYER : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to correct the nature and the guideline value of petitioner's land bearing Survey No.2361/3 at Kannimar Kovil Pulam, Thenkarai Village, Periyakulam Taluk, Theni District, by virtue of the order passed by the Special Sub Collector (Stamps), Madurai, vide proceedings bearing DIS SR.No.54/2024/ PKM-2 dated 07.05.2024 on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 01.08.2024.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a mandamus, seeking for a direction to the respondents to correct the nature and guideline value of the petitioner's land bearing Survey No.2361/3 at Kannimar Kovil Pulam, Thenkarai Village, Periyakulam Taluk, Theni District, based on the order passed by the Sub Collector (Stamps), Madurai, vide proceedings dated 07.05.2024 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. Heard Mr.R.Shankar Ganesh, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, and Mr.P.Subbaraj, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

4. The petitioner, prior to the filing of this writ petition, had given a representation to the respondents on 01.08.2024 for the aforementioned purpose. However, the same has not been considered till date.

5. No prejudice will be caused to the respondents, if the petitioner's representation dated 01.08.2024 seeking for the relief sought for in this writ petition is considered on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

6. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the third respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law, on the petitioner's representation dated 01.08.2024 seeking re-fixation of the 3/6

guideline value and for reclassification of the petitioner's land bearing Survey No.2361/3 at Kannimar Kovil Pulam, Thenkarai Village, Periyakulam Taluk, Theni District, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
