ORDER
Heard Mr.K.Govindarajan, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the writ petitioner and Mr.D.Sivaraman, learned Standing Counsel, who takes notice on behalf of the respondents. 2.By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 3.This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction to direct the respondents to settle the terminal benefits, including gratuity, provident fund benefits, earned leave surrender benefit, social security scheme benefit, refund of contribution to educational institution and family pension including arrears with interest in respect of the deceased Gunasekaran to the writ petitioner. 4.Mr.D.Sivaraman, learned Standing Counsel, who takes notice on behalf of the respondents, submits that one Saraswathi has https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
W.P.(MD) No.19382 of 2019 objected to sanction the terminal benefits to the writ petitioner. In view of the same, the respondents have not granted terminal benefits to the writ petitioner, payable to the deceased employee, namely, Gunasekaran. He further submitted that the respondents will conduct an enquiry and sanction the eligible terminal benefits to the concerned persons.
5.In view of the submission made by the learned Standing Counsel, the writ petitioner is directed to give a fresh representation, including the legal heirship certificate and other particulars to the respondents, within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of such representation, the respondents are directed to consider the same and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, after giving personal hearing to the writ petitioner as well as the said Saraswathi, within a period of eight (8) weeks thereafter. 6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
