ORDER:- This Sub Application coming on for orders on this day and upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Thiru. T.K.Rajasekaran, Advocate for the Petitioner , this Court made the following order: Cont.P(MD).No.1282 of 2017 came up for consideration before a learned Single Judge of this Court on 29.08.2017. The said Contempt Petition was filed complaining non-compliance of an order in W.P(MD).No.5128 of 2012 dated 25.03.2015.
2. The said Contempt Petition was filed against the Tahsildar, Nanguneri Taluk, Nanguneri, Tirunelveli District. On 29.08.2017, the learned Single Judge had observed, pursuant to the representation on behalf of the Tahsildar, that, a meeting had already been conducted and the office bearers had already been elected and that members had also signed in the proceedings. In view of that particular fact, the said Contempt Petition was closed.
3. However, the petitioner still has some grievances. Learned counsel for the petitioner stated that after the disposal of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
SUB A(MD). No.73 of 2018 the Contempt Petition, a copy of the Minutes of the meeting dated 10.05.2017 was perused and though it was stated that the order had actually been complied with, there is no reference to the Minutes of the meeting. It was also stated that the petitioner was also not informed about the meeting. It is under these circumstances, a request is made by way of this particular application to re-open the Contempt Petition.
4. Let the matter be agitated and let the records be perused with respect to the meeting. Therefore, the Sub Application is allowed and the Contempt Petition in Cont.P(MD).No.1282 of 2017 is revived.
5. List the Contempt Petition for further hearing on 21.02.2022.
