The Petitioner herein seeks a direction to the first 1/4

respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the Petitioner, dated 02.06.2025.

2.Mr.A.Baskaran, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the first respondent. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3.According to the Petitioner, he purchased the property in T.S.No.931, Block 9, Mela Madurai, Ward 8, Madurai City Corporation under document, dated 24.11.1967. Later, without the knowledge of the Petitioner, property was sub-divided as S.No. 931/1 and patta was issued in favour of second respondent. Therefore, the Petitioner submitted an appeal before the first respondent seeking cancellation of patta issued in favour of the second respondent. The same has not been considered till date. Hence the Petitioner is before this Court with the present Writ Petition for the relief stated supra.

4.It is seen from the typed-set of papers that the appeal of the Petitioner was filed before the first respondent only on 2.6.2025.

5.Taking into consideration the said fact, the first respondent is directed to consider the appeal filed by the Petitioner, dated 2.6.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits, after issuing notice to the Petitioner and second respondent within a period of 16 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
