RFL / Murappanadu /73/2024 dated 02.07.2024 issued by the first respondent and quash the same as illegal and arbitrary and consequently direct the first respondent to register the sale deed presented by the petitioner for registration within the time fixed by this Court. 1/4

Heard both sides.

2.The order impugned in this writ petition is set aside by respectfully following the ratio laid down in W.P(MD)No.8140 of 2022 (P.Durairasu Vs The Inspector General, Registration Department, Chennai & Others).

3.The matter is remitted to the file of the first respondent. The first respondent is directed to conduct enquiry, issue notices to all the concerned parties and thereafter take a call on merits and in accordance with law. This exercise shall be completed by the first respondent within a period of ten weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter. 2/4

4.This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
