Pleader ***** C O M M O N O R D E R The writ petition in W.P.(MD) No.5170 of 2016 has been filed for a direction to the respondents to provide adequate police protection and permission to celebrate the festival with using mike set from 14.04.2016 to 21.04.2016 the Arulmegu Perumalswamy Temple South Soorankudy (Pottalvilakku) Kanyakumari District by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 29.02.2016. The prayer in the writ petition in W.P.(MD) No.6151 of 2016 is to direct the respondents to provide adequate police protection to celebrate the annual Chithra Pournami Nainar Nonbu Festival in the Arulmigu Perumalswamy Temple South Soorankudi (Pottal Vilakku) Kanyakumari District from 17.04.2016 to 22.04.2016 by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 20.03.2016.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the State.

It is seen that both the petitioners are close relatives and they are staking claim to celebrate the Annual Chithra Pournami Nainar Nonbu festival in Arulmigu Perumalswamy Temple, South Soorankudi (Pottal Vilakku), Kanyakumari District from 14.04.2016 to 21.04.2016 and 17.04.2016 to 22.04.2016 respectively. Both of them have given representations to the respondent police for police protection.

4. Under such circumstances, the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Nagercoil, Kanyakumari District / 2nd respondent in W.P. (MD) No.6151 of 2016 is directed to consider the representations of both the petitioners after holding discussions with the petitioners, Officials of the Temple and other interested parties and take action in accordance with law keeping in mind the fact
