ORDER

The petitioner has filed an application before the 2nd respondent/the Sub Collector, Cheranmahadevi, Tirunelveli District, for correction of entries, in respect of the land in Survey Nos.926/1 that the entries have been made wrongly in the name of one Kasi and Eenan in Patta No.687. The application of this petitioner was considered by the 2nd respondent/the Sub Collector, Cheranmahadevi in Ni.Mu.No. 6359/2022/Aa3 dated 26.12.2022 and orders were passed upholding that the names of Kasi and Eenan have wrongly been entered in Patta No.687. Based on this order of the 2nd respondent/the Sub Collector, Cheranmahadevi, dated 26.12.2022, the petitioner has submitted an application, dated 08.05.2023, before the 3rd respondent/the Tahsildar, Radhapuram Taluk, Tirunelveli, requesting to correct the mistake made 2/5

in Patta No.687 and to issue a fresh patta. Since the said application has not been considered sofar, the present writ petition has been filed.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the aggrieved parties Kasi and Eenan have not preferred any revision petition as against the order of the 2nd respondent/the Sub Collector, Cheranmahadevi, dated 26.12.2022.

3. Considering the fact that the 2nd respondent, on 26.12.2022, has passed the order in favour of the petitioner and against that order, no appeal has been preferred sofar, the 3rd respondent/the Tahsildar, Radhapuram Taluk, Tirunelveli District, is directed to carry out necessary corrections as per the order of the 2nd respondent/the Sub Collector, Cheranmahadevi, after ascertaining from the aggrieved parties, namely, Kasi and Eenan, as to whether any appeal has been preferred by them or not and take a decision in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this 3/5

order.

4. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed. No costs.
