ORDER

The petitioner has come up with the above writ petition seeking for the issue of a writ of mandamus, to direct the respondents to provide employment to the petitioner on compassionate ground by considering her representations dated 23.10.2013, 20.02.2014 and 17.02.2016. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. Mr.S.Dayalan, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the respondents. 3.According to the petitioner, the petitioner's father who was working as Assessor died in harness way back on 21.12.2003. Hence, she applied for appointment on compassionate grounds within three years. However, the said application was rejected by the second respondent on 30.12.2006 on the ground that on the date of filing application, the petitioner was a minor and was not completed 18 years. Therefore, the petitioner once again applied before the respondents which was recommended by the first respondent by his proceedings dated 18.01.2012 stating that the petitioner was eligible to be appointed on compassionate grounds.

4.It is further submitted that the petitioner had also submitted the documents demanded by the second respondent. In spite of the same, the case of the petitioner for appointment on compassionate grounds has not been considered so far. Hence, the petitioner has come up with the above writ petition.

5.Considering the above stated facts and circumstances and without expressing any view on the claim made by the petitioner, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 17.02.2016 and pass orders on the same, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
