O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to grant permission to the petitioner to conduct the Kabadi contest on 19.03.2016 before Karupusamy Temple, Alagapuri from 10.00p.m. To 10.00 a.m. and give sufficient police protection.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents. 3.This Court is aware of the fact that the Election Commission of India has already announced time table for elections to the State Assembly and therefore, the police will be under much strain. Under such circumstances, it will not be advisable to grant permission for such programmes, if there are going to be any law and order problem.

4. However, without going into the merits of the case, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner taking into consideration the antecedents of the petitioner and his capacity to conduct the tournament and all https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

other factors including communal and law and order factors and dispose the same on merits and in accordance with law, expeditiously. In the event of the authorities deciding to give permission, the same should include the conditions imposed by this Court in W.P.(MD) No.1474 of 2016 dated 22.01.2016. 5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
