Respondent Prayer :- Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of mandamus directing the respondent to de-freeze the petitioner's current account in Account No. 123702000002312 after retaining any amount held by the respondent bank as lien, within the time that may be stipulated by this Court. Heard both sides.

2.The petitioner is maintaining his current account with the respondent bank. It has been frozen. To defreeze the same, this writ petition came to be filed.

3.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Standing Counsel informed the Court that the petitioner's account was frozen following the communication received from the Cyber Crime Cell of Maharashtra on 10.08.2021. The respondent bank is directed to write to Cyber Crime Cell calling upon them to clarify the amount on which lien has to be marked. The Cyber Crime Cell shall be given three weeks to respond to the communication. Copy of this order shall be enclosed along with the said communication. If Cyber Crime Cell, Maharashtra respond and clarify the amount involved, the respondent bank will permit the petitioner to operate the petition mentioned account after marking lien on the said amount. If no response is received from the Cyber Crime

Cell within the aforesaid time limit, the petitioner will be permitted to operate the bank account.

4.This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
