: Respondents PRAYER : Petition is filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code praying to direct the second respondent to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and his wife for their peaceful life and to cultivate their agricultural lands by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 11.06.2019. ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to give police protection to the petitioner and his wife.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the official respondents.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that there is a dispute between the petitioner and his son Rajapandi with regard to partition of land. Now, the said Rajapandi is preventing the petitioner from doing any agricultural activities in the land in question and also quarreled with him. Hence, the petitioner has lodged a complaint before the respondent police. But, so far no action has been taken on the same. Hence, the present petition has been filed.

Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), on instructions, would submit that the civil dispute is pending between the petitioner and his elder son. Now based on the complaint given by the petitioner enquiry has been conducted by the second respondent. In the the petitioner's son Rajapandi appeared and has given an undertaking that he will not disturb the petitioner any further. Based on that undertaking given by Rajapandi, the complaint has been closed.

5. Considering the fact that it is a civil dispute between the father and son and the complaint given by the petitioner has been enquired into and closed in view of the undertaking given by the petitioner's son that he will not disturb the petitioner, no further order is required to be passed in this petition. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
