PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to consider and dispose of the appeal submitted by the petitioner dated 27.12.2021 to regularize the service of the petitioner from the date of initial appointment i.e., on 14.01.1992 and to regularize the period from 14.01.1992 to 11.02.2001 as qualifying service for pensionary benefits and also to refix the seniority of the petitioner in the light of G.O.(D).No.289, Municipal Administration and Water Supply (MC-5)Department dated 26.08.2020 within a reasonable time. ORDER

By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2.The limited prayer sought for in the present writ petition is for a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner, dated 27.12.2021 seeking for the benefit of inclusion of unemployment period and for refixation of his seniority.

3.Since the appeal is still pending, it would be appropriate to direct the first respondent to dispose it of expeditiously, within the stipulated time. 4.In view of the above observations, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner, dated 27.12.2021 as expeditiously as possible, in any event, within a period of three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
