PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., to direct the respondents to file a final report in Crime No.44 of 2020 on the file of the Ulagampatti Police Station, Sivagangai District, 2nd respondent herein within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. This Criminal Original Petition has been filed for directing the respondent to file Final Report in Crime No.44 of 2020.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would state that the FIR in Crime No.44 of 2020 is pending, without filing the final report till date.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent Police, on instructions, would submit that the investigation is going on and he prays three months time for filing Final Report.

5. Considering the submission, the respondents Police are directed to complete the investigation and file the Final Report in Crime No.44 of 2020, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the aforesaid direction, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
