O R D E R
This writ petition is filed for Certiorarified Mandamus, to quash the proceedings of the 3rd respondent, dated 16.09.2022 and consequently, to direct the 3rd respondent to assess the lands situated in J.J.Nagar, Manakulam Village, Thirupparankundram Taluk, Madurai District, within the time stipulated by this Court.
2. Through the impugned order, the respondents declined to assess the property and directed the petitioner to submit a registered deed which was executed in favour of the petitioner. The petitioner is claiming title to the property through the assignment patta issued to various land 3/6
holders. The petitioner being an Association has filed this writ petition seeking a direction to grant assess to property tax based on the assignment patta.
3. Therefore, the respondents are directed to assess the property tax based on the assignment patta. However, each member of the Association shall file a separate petition before the authorities along with the assignment patta. The authorities shall consider the same and pass orders in accordance to law.
4. With the above said direction, the impugned order is quashed. The said direction shall be complied within a period of twelve weeks 4/6
from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above said direction, the writ petition is allowed. No costs.
