This writ petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the respondent to grant permission to conduct Arulmigu Mariamman Kovil Panguni Pongal Festival 2016, Thirumangalam Bodinayakanur on 19.03.2016 and from 10.04.2016 to 14.04.2016 by providing adequate police protection by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 24.02.2016.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side.

3. It is seen that the petitioner has given a representation dated 24.02.2016 seeking police protection for conducting celebrations of Panguni Pongal festival in Arulmigu Mariamman Kovil.

4. In view of the above, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the representation and pass orders after hearing the contesting parties expeditiously.
