Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to consider petitioner's representation dated 14.03.2016 and allow the petitioner to participate the Panguni Uthiram Festival on 23.03.2016 in Arulmigu Sakthi Temple situated at Purakkarai Village, Thiruvadanai Taluk, Ramanathapuram District.

This writ petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider petitioner's representation dated 14.03.2016 and allow the petitioner to participate the Panguni Uthiram Festival on 23.03.2016 in Arulmigu Sakthi Temple situated at Purakkarai Village, Thiruvadanai Taluk, Ramanathapuram District.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that on account of death of one of the villager, the entire celebration has been cancelled. Under such circumstances, no orders can be passed on the writ petition. However, there can be no objection to the petitioner worshipping in the Temple like any other ordinary devotee.

With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
