Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to provide arrears of salary from the month of July 2013 and Pongal Bonus from the year 2013 to the petitioner in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

Mr.S.Satheeshkumar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents 1 to 3. By consent of the learned counsel appearing on either side, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side. 3.The petitioner is working as Motor Operator of Drinking Water Tank in the fourth respondent Panchayat for consolidated payment. The third respondent, who is the salary disbursing authority, has not paid salary for the months between July 2013 and September 2013. A representation was also sent by the petitioner to the fourth respondent, who gave Rs.9,000/- https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

as consolidate payment and Rs.3,000/- as Dewali Bonus. Again from July 2013 till 2016, for the past 31 months, salary and Pongal bonus had not been given to the petitioner. Therefore, he made a representation to the fourth respondent on 28.06.2014. But, till today, the fourth respondent has not responded the same. Hence, he is before this Court seeking for issuance of writ of mandamus directing the fourth respondent to pay the arrears of salary and also Pongal bonus from the year 2013.

4. Considering the plight of the petitioner, the fourth respondent is directed to disburse the arrears of salary till today along with the festival bonus to the petitioner for which the petitioner is entitled to within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
