PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the 1st respondent to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 16.05.2023 for closing the educational loan account by paying the entire outstanding as on date in the educational loan and release the house property at Karaikal, within the time frame fixed by this Court. [Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble The CHIEF JUSTICE] We have heard Mr.S.S.Suresh, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.C.Karthik, learned counsel for the respondent Bank.
2. The learned counsel for the respondent Bank submitted that the representation filed by the petitioners with a request to release of house property for settling the educational loan is received by the bank and the bank would take a decision upon the said representation within four weeks from today.
3. It is for the bank to take a decision on its own merits. Depending upon the decision that would be taken by the bank, the parties may take further course. The writ petition stands disposed of.
