This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the third respondent to conduct patta proceedings in respect of the petitioner's property comprised in Survey No.141/2 measuring 57 cents situated in Poolanandapuram Village, Uthamapalayam Taluk, Theni District, covered by the registered Settlement Deed dated 17.3.1978 vide Doc.No.668 of 1978 based on the petitioner's representations dated 16.11.2018 and 19.11.2018.

The petitioner submitted the representations dated 16.11.2018 and 19.11.2018 to the respondents 1 and 2 seeking cancellation of the patta pertaining to the properties referred to above and requesting that an inquiry be conducted. However, no action has been taken on the said representation. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.
4. Learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents, submits that the petitioner's representations would be considered on merits and in accordance with law.
5. In view of the above submissions, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the third respondent/Revenue Divisional Officer to consider the petitioner's representations dated 16.11.2018 and 19.11.2018 on merits and in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. The representation shall be considered and disposed of after conducting an inquiry. The third respondent is further directed to afford a 3/6
