PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 528 of BNSS Act, to to call for the records pertaining to the FIR in Crime No.13 of 2026, dated 30.05.2026 on the file of the first respondent police and quash the same. ORDER
The present petition has been filed by the accused persons in crime No.13 of 2026, on the file of the first respondent police seeking to quash the FIR wherein they are charged with the offences under Sections 191(2), 296(b), 115(2) and 351(2) of BNS, 2023 and Section 4 of the Tamilnadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act.
2. Pending investigation, the parties have entered into a compromise wherein the defacto complainant had agreed for quashing of the FIR.
3. Today, the defacto complainant is present in-person and she acknowledges the fact that she had agreed for quashing of the F.I.R.
4. Considering the above said facts, F.I.R. in crime No.13 of 2026, on the file of the first respondent police is hereby quashed.
5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. The joint compromise memo shall form part and parcel of the order. 22.06.2026 NCC : Yes/No Index : Yes/No Internet: Yes/No am 2/4
