: Respondents PRAYER:- Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent No.2 to provide single phase electricity connection (Tarrif-5) to the petitioner's office premise situated adjacent to the petitioner's Saw Mill in S.No.93/6, Usilai Road, Peraiyur, Madurai District by considering the application submitted by the petitioner, dated 10.11.2020 within the time period stipulated by this Court. ORDER

(This petition was heard through the Video Conference) This Writ Petition is filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the second respondent to provide single phase electricity connection (Tarrif-5) to the petitioner's office premise situated adjacent to the petitioner's Saw Mill in Survey No.93/6, Usilai Road, Peraiyur, Madurai District, by considering the application submitted by the petitioner, dated 10.11.2020 within the time period stipulated by this Court.

2.Heard Mr.T.Lajapathi Roy, learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mrs.M.Rajeswari, learned Counsel for Mr.S.M.S.Johnny Basha, learned Standing Counsel for the respondents. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD)No.18766 of 2020 3.The learned Standing Counsel for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that if the petitioner submits a fresh application seeking for electricity service connection for his office premise situated adjacent to the petitioner's Saw Mill in S.No.93/6, Usilai Road, Peraiyur Taluk, Madurai District, the respondents shall consider the same on merits. 4.Recording the said submission, the petitioner is directed to submit a fresh application to the respondents within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order seeking for electricity service connection for his office premise situated adjacent to petitioner's Saw Mill in S.No.93/6, Usilai Road, Peraiyur, Madurai District and on receipt of the said application, the respondents shall pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two weeks thereafter. 5.With the aforesaid directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
