ORDER

The petitioner is the wife of the 3rd respondent. She has lodged a complaint as against her husband and also filed this petition seeking a direction to the respondent Police to conduct an enquiry and take appropriate action against him.

2. Since it is a matrimonial dispute, the respondent Police is directed to refer the matter to the Social Welfare Officer. Based on the report of the Social Welfare Officer, the respondent Police shall verify with regard to the nature of complaint. If any cognizable offence is made out, it is always open to the respondent Police to proceed further in accordance with law.

3. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
