O R D E R

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner.

2. The petitioner figures as the first respondent in D.V.C. No.20 of 2022 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate, Karaikudi. The petitioner is the father-in-law of the complainant. The case of the petitioner is that on 08.12.2023 when the case was posted for respondents evidence, the complainant and her father criminally intimidated him and that in this regard, a complaint was lodged. According to the petitioner herein, an enquiry was conducted and that the complainant demanded payment of compensation for acceding to divorce. In this regard, the petitioner wanted to examine the jurisdictional Inspector of Police.

3. Cr.M.P.No.3454 of 2024 was filed with that prayer. The Court below came to the conclusion that the issue projected by the petitioner herein has nothing to do with the subject matter of D.V.C.No.20 of 2022. In that view of the matter, the Cr.M.P. filed by the petitioner was dismissed.

4. Even though, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner endeavoured to convince me, I am not swayed by the said submissions. I am of the view that the impugned order does not call for interference. The Court below has give appropriate reasons for dismissing the petition filed by the petitioner herein. This civil revision petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
