Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to correct the names in the +2 mark statement in Certificate No.11189832 of the petitioner's son as Rajasimman instead of Amjadkhan and 10th and +2 mark statement in Certificate No.6664780 and Certificate No.13471481 of the petitioner's daughter as Vanmathi instead of Varisha based on his representation dated 10.12.2019.

ORDER

When the matter is taken up for hearing, it is represented by the learned counsel for the petitioner that his children attained majority and now they converted into Hindu Community and changed their names as Rajasimman instead of Amjadkhan and Vanmathi 1/3

instead of Varisha and prayed to change their names in their 10th and +2 mark statements.

2. Learned Government Advocate appearing for the Respondents contended that 'Hindus' are born and the question of conversion to Hindu may not be correct. As the Children are major, they have to file a Writ Petition and the father has no locus standi to file. The children may like to continue in the same religion and the petitioner may be forcing them.

3. This Court do not want to go into the factual aspects raised by the petitioner in this petition, as his children are major and therefore, the present Writ Petition is not maintainable before this Court. It is for the children to approach the Court for necessary relief and in such an event, the Court can consider the case, depending upon the facts and pleadings therein.

4. With the above observation, this writ petition stands dismissed. No Costs.
