: Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to promote the petitioner to the post of Assistant Jailor as he is eligible from the year of 2014-2015 itself and to pay all arrears of monetary and service benefits.

O R D E R

*********** Seeking a direction to the respondents to grant promotion to the post of Assistant Jailor and payment of arrears of monetary and service benefits, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents.

3. Today, when the Writ Petition was taken up for consideration, the learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents submitted that the prayer of the petitioner came to be met with by the respondents.

4. At this juncture, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks liberty to the petitioner to approach the authority concerned seeking monetary and service benefits related to the post.

5. Having considered the submissions made on either side, granting such liberty, the Writ Petition stands closed. No costs.
