ORDER
This petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the 2nd respondent to conduct and conclude the enquiry based on the petitioner's complaint dated 18.05.2026 and to take necessary action in accordance with law within the time frame as fixed by this Court.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has lodged a complaint dated 18.05.2026 with regard to cheating of money. However, no effective action has been taken by the respondent police. Aggrieved by such inaction, the petitioner has approached this Court by filing the present petition.
3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent police submitted that the current paper is presently pending. It was further submitted that the enquiry is being conducted and would be concluded within the stipulated period in accordance with law. 2/4
4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and carefully perused the materials before this Court.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of this case, the first respondent police is directed to consider the petitioner's complaint dated 18.05.2026, conduct an enquiry in this regard, after issuing summons to the parties concerned, under Section 64 of the BNSS, and conclude the same, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the parties concerned, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
