The Petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to rectify the mistake with regard to survey number in the Town Survey Register concerning the property comprised in S.No.59, R.S.NO.55/18 situated at Sengulam Village, Trichy East Division, Trichy by considering the Petitioner's representations, dated 14.09.2022, 8.2.2023, 13.05.2024 and 19.08.2024. 2.Mr.M.Gangatharan, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents 1 to 3. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3.According to the Petitioner, he purchased the subject property comprised in S.No.59, R.S.No.55/18 under sale deed, dated 20.2.1978. In the Town Survey Register of the property, survey number was mentioned as R.S.No.55/19p instead of R.S.No.55/18. Therefore the Petitioner submitted the instant 2/6
representation before the third respondent on 19.08.2024 seeking correction in the Town Survey Register. The same has not been considered so far. Hence the Petitioner has come before this Court, with the present Writ Petition, for the relief stated supra. 4.Mr.M.Gangatharan, learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that the Petitioner seeks correction in the Town Survey Register and the same can be done only by the competent authority, namely, the Commissioner, Corporation of Tiruchirappalli. 5.In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the third respondent is directed to forward the representation submitted by the Petitioner, dated 19.08.
2025 to the competent authority namely, the Commissioner, Corporation of Tiruchirappalli within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of such representation, the said authority shall consider the representation of the Petitioner and pass final orders on its own merits after issuing notice to the Petitioner and other interested parties, if any, within a period of 12 weeks thereafter. 6.
