This writ petition has been filed for a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to initiate action on the representation of the petitioner dated 30.06.2015 and submit a final report thereon within a reasonable time.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that on the representation given by the petitioner and others, an enquiry was initiated against Durai Rajendran, the President of Keela Vannipattu Panchayat, Orathanadu Taluk, Thanjavur District and the matter was seized of by the District Collector.

3. Under such circumstances, no further direction is necessary in this writ petition and it is open to the District Collector to take action in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible.
