O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of Mandamus seeking a direction against the respondents to survey and demarcate the lands measuring to an extent of 7 cents (3120 sq.ft.) in Re.Survey No.39/1A2A1 of Pappakudi Village, Madurai East Taluk, Madurai District and fix the boundaries.

2.The petitioner, in this regard, had given a representation on 04.03.2019. The petitioner, in the affidavit filed in support of this Writ Petition, has stated that he had purchased the property on 10.09.1998 by way of a sale deed. He claims to be in possession of the said property. It is stated that he had given a representation to the first respondent/Tahsildar, Madurai East Taluk, Madurai, to survey the said lands and fix boundaries. He had also paid the necessary fee to the respondents on 04.03.2019. He also claims that there is no rival claimant to the title or possession.

3.A direction is given to the first respondent/Tahsildar, Madurai East Taluk, Madurai District, to issue notice to the petitioner, examine the title deed of the petitioner, examine the revenue records, issue notice to any third party, who might have https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD)No.18235 of 2021 direct or indirect interest in the grant of patta to the petitioner and thereafter, with the help of the second respondent, conduct survey of the land and do the necessary requirements, as sought in the representation of the petitioner The entire exercise may be completed within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.With the said direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
