PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first and second respondents to grant police protection for the petitioner's life and limb as well as to survey and fix the boundary stone and fence the property in Survey No.225/1A measuring 4 acres situated in Mahendravadi Village, Thiruvengadam Taluk, Tenkasi District as per Rule 21 of Tamil Nadu Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior 1/5

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first and second respondents to grant police protection for the petitioner's life and limb as well as to survey and fix the boundary stone and fence the property in Survey No.225/1A measuring 4 acres situated in Mahendravadi Village, Thiruvengadam Taluk, Tenkasi District as per Rule 21 of Tamil Nadu Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Rules, 2009 and in terms of the decree in O.S.No.572 of 1996 on the file of the Principal District Munsif Court, Sankarankovil.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that after receiving the representation, the respondent police has not taken any action.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police submitted that they are ready to consider the petitioner's representation dated 15.07.2022.

4. In view of the same, the second respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 29.07.2022 and provide necessary protection for surveying the land in Survey No.225/1A measuring 4 acres situated in Mahendravadi Village, Thiruvengadam Taluk, Tenkasi District, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
