ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioners/ Accused apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences under Sections 153, 153A, 504, 505(i)(b), 505(i)(c), 505(2) of IPC and Section 66(D) of Information Technology Act, in Crime No.6 of 2023, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the defacto complainant is a social activist 1/3

and he came across several false messages, defamatory information as if North Indian workers are being assaulted and humiliated in Tamil Nadu. The above said false information was spreading in the social media and internet. The intention was to create fear and enmity between the people. The above said information is spreading with an intention to cause unrest among the people. The North Indian workers are spreading through out Tamil Nadu and during their daily work, because of the above said false information, they feel unsecured. On the basis of the above said occurrence, a case in Crime No.6 of 2023 was registered by the respondent police for the offences stated above.

3. Earlier on 24.07.2023, interim protection was granted to the petitioner by this Court. The respondent is present before this Court and stated that no more enquiry is required with the petitioner herein. The petitioner is not going to be added as one of the accused.

4. Therefore, the matter has become unnecessary. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
