PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 & 2, to take necessary action against the 3 to 14 respondents and their mens on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner on 29.06.2025.

The petitioner with a grievance that her complaint, dated 29.06.2025 has not been enquired by the respondent police has moved this writ petition.

2.Mr.E.Antony Sahaya Prabahar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who takes notice for the respondents 1 & 2 submits that the complaint of this petitioner has been registered in Crime No.130 of 2025 on 02.07.2025, on the file of the Kallimanday Police Station, as against one Kuppuchamy and three others, for the offence under Sections 191(3), 296(b), 115(2), 118(1), 324(2), 303(2) of BNS, 2023 and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002.

3.In reply, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has lodged the complaint as against 12 persons. However, the respondent police has registered the case only as against the four named persons and showing the other accused as unknown persons. He claims that the respondent police has not registered the case in a proper manner.

4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor states that preliminary enquiry conducted by them revealed that it is only four persons involved in the offense and therefore, they have registered the case as against them. During the course of investigation, if they find the involvement of any other accused, they would take appropriate action.

5.Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that the case has already been registered on the complaint of this petitioner in Crime No.130 of 2025 on the file of the Kallimanday Police Station, this writ petition is closed, with a 3/5

direction to the respondent police to conduct the investigation in a fair and unbiased manner. No costs.
