Respondent PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to renew C form licence for "Kalaiyarangam Theatre (A/c) No.15/D, Mc Donalds Road, Cantonment, Trichy belonging to the District Welfare Fund Committee in Trichy City based on the application of the petitioner dated 21.11.2015 for a period of one year from 15.01.2016 to 14.01.2017 within a time stipulated by this Court. Mr.M.Murugan, learned Government Advocate, takes notice for the respondent and by consent, the Writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2.The petitioner seeks for renewal of C Form licence for Kalaiyarangam Theatre (A/c) at No.15/D, Mc Donalds Road, Cantonment, Trichy, belonging to the District Welfare Fund Committee in Trichy City, based on the application of the petitioner dated 21.11.2015 for a period of one year from 15.01.2016 to 14.01.2017.

3.The grievance of the petitioner is that even though the application was made as early as on 23.11.2015, seeking for renewal for the period commencing from 15.01.2016 to 14.01.2017, the respondent has not passed any orders so far. 4.Considering the above stated facts and circumstances and without expressing any view on the claim made by the petitioner, I only direct the respondent to consider the request of the petitioner seeking for renewal of C Form licence and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of 2 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5.The Writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected M.P.is closed.
