ORDER

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for R1 & R2 and the learned Government Advocate appearing for R3.

2. The petitioner challenges the impugned decision taken in a Peace Committee Meeting convened by the second respondent.

3. I have been consistently holding that the decision taken in the Peace Committee Meeting is not amenable to legal challenge because it is not having any statutory value or force. No legal consequences can flow therefrom. The statutory authorities cannot enforce the decision taken in the Peace Committee Meeting.

4. With this observation, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 31.07.2024 NCC : Yes/No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes/ No rmi 2/4
