PRAYER :-For Bail in Crime No.213 of 2022 on the file of the Respondent Police.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner is facing charges under Sections 419, 420, 511 and 506(1) IPC in Crime No.213 of 2022 on the file of the respondent police.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the defacto complainant lodged a complaint stating that on 23.07.2022, he received an information from the shop owner, by name Harirama Krishnan that the Vigilance Officers visited the shop and they made threat that the jewellery must be handed over to them, otherwise the defacto complainant and the shop owner have to face the consequences. On suspicion, they were apprehended and along with the aforesaid accused persons, the defacto complainant went to the police station and handed over them along with complaint, over which the present case has been registered.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the 1st accused has been granted regular bail by the learned Principal Sessions Judge, Thoothukudi, in Crl.M.P.No.4462 of 2022 by order dated 22.08.2022, since the 1st accused is the prime person. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis 1/2

No.14902 of 2022 4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Crl.side) for the respondent would submit that the petitioner introduced the 1st accused as if he belongs to the Vigilance Department and against the 1st accused, similar case is also pending. He would further submit that the petitioner belongs to Salem area.

5.Considering the period of incarceration, this Court is inclined to grant bail to the petitioner with stringent conditions. 6.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed and the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail, on executing a personal bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) with two sureties each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Thoothukudi, and on further condition that the petitioner shall report before the respondent police daily at 10.30 a.m. until further orders.
