O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the second respondent herein to release the petitioner's vehicle TATA INDICA V2 DLE Car, bearing registration No.TN 67 F 4142 and hand over the same to the petitioner within the time limit that may be stipulated by this Court.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that the vehicle of the petitioner is involved in Crime No.196 of 2016 for the offence under Section 4(1)(a) of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act and therefore, the Inspector of Police, Aruppukottai Town Police Station, Aruppukottai has forwarded the papers https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ to the Additional Superintendent of Police for initiating confiscation proceedings under the TNP Act.
