ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/Accused herein, who was arrested on 07.07.2023 for the alleged offence under Sections 4(1)(a) r/w 4(1-A) of TNP Act, in Crime No.182 of 2023, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that on 07.07.2023, the accused was found in possession of 8 numbers of 180 ml TASMAC liquor bottles, without valid perimit. Hence, the complaint.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and she has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. The petitioner is in custody from 07.07.2023. Hence, prays to release her on bail.

4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner is having seven previous cases, out of which, five were disposed of. The petitioner is a habitual offender. Hence, prays to dismiss the petition. 5.Considering the bad antecedents of the petitioner, if she released on bail, she might indulge in similar kind of offences and she might abscond, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
