ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to pay the compensation amount in respect of the acquisition of properties comprised in Survey Nos.10/1, 10/2B, 10/7B, and 11/3A of Chinnamanaickenpatti Village, Vadipatti Taluk, Madurai District, belonging to the petitioners and the 1st petitioner's daughter, Shobana, based on the petitioners' representation dated 24.04.2023, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the parties.

According to the petitioners, the petitioners and the first petitioner's daughter, Shobana, are the rightful owners of the properties in Survey Nos.10/1, 10/2B, 10/7B, and 11/3A of Chinnamanaickenpatti Village, Vadipatti Taluk, Madurai District. The properties were acquired by the Government, and the petitioners submitted a representation dated 24.04.2023 requesting payment of
compensation. Despite the same, the respondent has not paid the compensation, which is arbitrary and amounts to non-compliance with statutory obligations. Hence, the present Writ Petition.
4. The learned Government Advocate for the respondent submits that the petitioners' representation will be considered on its merits and in accordance with law.
5. Recording the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioners' representation dated 24.04.2023, on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The representation shall be considered and disposed of after conducting an enquiry. The respondent is directed to provide reasonable opportunity during such enquiry to the petitioners and also to the other persons, who may be affected by such decision. There shall be no order as to costs.
