Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents herein to rectify the extent of the FMB Sketch in respect of Sur.No.454/3A bearing Patta No.2164, situated at Oruthattu Village, Nilakottai Taluk, Dindigul District, on basis of the recommendation made by the respondent No.1 vide proceedings in Oo.Mu.No.4792/2025/A2, dated 30.05.2025.

ORDER
The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to rectify the extent of land shown in FMB Sketch in respect of Survey No. 454/3A, bearing Patta No.2164, situated at Oruthattu Village, Nilakottai Taluk, Dindigul District.
2. According to the petitioner, he has got right over 1 Acre 12 Cents of land in Survey No.454/3A. Patta for the subject property was also issued in his name in Patta No.2164 for the said extent. However, in FMB Sketch prepared by the respondents, the extent of the property is reduced to 94 Cents. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation before the second respondent on 19.05.2025, seeking rectification of FMB. The same has not been considered. Hence, he has come before this Court.
3. Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents, would submit that the second respondent has already called for a report from the third respondent in his proceedings, dated 30.05.2025.
4. In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the third respondent is directed to submit a report before the second respondent within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order, and the second respondent shall consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 19.05.2025, and pass final orders on its own merits within a further period of eight weeks, after issuing notice to petitioner, neighbouring land owners, and other interested parties.
5. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. 04.07.2025 NCC :
